Andy CohenFive-year-old son Ben has quite the holiday wish list.
“He asked me to help him write a letter to Santa and said he wanted a police drone for himself, which is very timely,” Cohen, 56, said. My Weekly exclusively in promoting its partnership with Fresca Mixed. “A Lego police drone that really flies. I’m like, ‘I don’t think it exists, but okay.’ It’s about time.”
Cohen joked, “I’m like, ‘What were you watching on the news?'” (The TV host was referring to recent reports of drones flying over New Jersey.)
Ben also wanted to make sure Santa would come for his 2-year-old sister Lucy.
“He asked for bath toys for Lucy and he wants a set of Valentine cards so he can make me a Valentine because he loves me,” Cohen said. “I couldn’t believe it.
While Cohen’s holiday season is mainly focused on the children since he became a father Watch What Happens Live host still finds time for adult entertainment — especially while hosting CNN New Year’s Eve live by the side of a friend Anderson Cooper.
“I’m bringing in a couple of producers Watch What Happens Live because we’re funny people,” Cohen said Our. “Anderson imports entertainment.” CNN is about the news. He brings fun out of my team, which is great.”
Cohen told the broadcast that he and Cooper, 57, are “planning a lot of fun games” to play before midnight.
“A couple of years ago, at about 11:45, they’d say, ‘Oh, you’ve got 15 minutes to midnight,’ and there were no guests,” Cohen said. “I remember talking (and) at one point my mind started to wander.
This year, however, they are ready.
“We have a lot of fun guests,” he teased. “There are a lot of fun surprises and I’m really excited about it.”
Despite the mishaps that can happen during a live performance, Cohen said learned to “have fun” during broadcast. “Anderson and I had the most fun we’ve ever had last year. It was great.”
Those familiar with Cohen and Cooper’s New Year’s Eve broadcast know that the drinks are always flowing. Cohen – as expected – takes the libations.
“I’ll literally bring a bag. with several bottles of tequila. Some Fresca mix for me within an hour. Tequila is for shots and then shots. I’m bringing ice,” he explained. “I’ll bring this myself. I’m going to the wine bar. I get these things.”
As it gears up for 2025, Fresca Mixed is the brainchild of a TV presenter who has teamed up with the brand to help ring in the new year in style.
