The altercation intensified when Davis climbed a fence to his property, pushed through a door and began hitting him, the researchers said.
At some point, she grabbed the gardening tool and hit him with her, which caused a serious cut on her arm.
The man was taken to the hospital while Davis was taken to jail.
She is accused of armed robbery with aggression, aggravated aggression with a mortal weapon, simple battery and criminal mischief.
