Adams, a Democrat who said he was attacked by the Biden Administration, was accused in September for positions that include bribes, requesting campaign contributions from foreign citizens, electronic fraud and conspiracy. He declared himself innocent of all the charges.

Hochul is the only state official who has the power to eliminate Adams from his position.
