Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett dismissed the demands of democratic states against Elon Musk and Doge, expressing doubts that the Supreme Court will be on its side. Jarrett reacted “Fox and friends” On Monday, to 14 states that demand to prevent Doge from accessing federal data, challenging Musk’s authority while continuing his government’s debris.
‘Windful and Dangerous’: the five most shocking revelations of Doge
GREGG JARRETT: The presidents have broad authority under article II of the Constitution to govern and control the agencies in departments in the Executive Power. How much money is spent hiring, dismissing, auditing for fraud, waste and abuse. Then Trump is exercising a central responsibility, serving the interest of the public. That is your solemn duty. The legal question is, can we delegate that power to musk and dux? Democrats who have sued say you can’t do that. It was not confirmed by the Senate under the appointment clause. That is nonsense. There is a great body of law that says that the president can, on his own, without the Senate, confer administrative powers to others such as Doge. Then, these first setbacks in several lower courts. That was expected. Trump knew that, you know, the liberals were going to run and cry for favorable judges. Oh, Gee, is stopping our fraud and waste. We want that to continue. Ultimately, I believe that the Supreme Court will intervene, and that is where Trump will prevail. The law is on your side.
Fox News Greg Jarrett (Fox)
The law is on your side. In addition, when the public interest is serving and the public is in favor of it. That is something that I think the Supreme Court recognizes. Steve mentioned it, CBS Poll found that 70% agree that the president is doing what he promised. A majority approves it as a key part of your mandate. The Democrats here are choosing the wrong battle. What person in their right mind wants to continue billions of dollars of taxpayers who waste for waste and fraud, but are so reflexively against everything Trump does? Their demands make them seem to favor financial abuse. What Doge and Musk must have discovered so far are really shocking Americans. 20% of government spending is wasted. Billions in funds out of place. The Americans, I think, are fed up with this and Trump is moving in their direction, since the Supreme Court, I think, is no stranger to that.

A federal judge expressed skepticism of the efforts that seek to prohibit the administration of President Donald Trump to access federal data and fire federal workers when listening to comments from the bank on Monday.
Judge Tanya Chutkan has not yet issued a decision in the case, which is related to billionaire Elon Musk and Government Efficiency Department (Dux) and his efforts to stop government spending. Chutkan says he will govern on the case within 24 hours.
In question in the case are Doge’s actions within seven federal agencies, including the Office of Personnel Management, the Department of Education, the Department of Labor, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Energy, the Department of Transportation and the Department of Commerce.

General prosecutors of 14 states argue that the Musk and Trump administration have dedicated themselves to illegal executive overrequal, but Chutkan says it was not convinced so far.
Separately, on Friday, a federal judge extended a temporary order that blocked Mun from accessing payment systems within the Treasury Department.
This extension occurred after 19 state general prosecutors filed a lawsuit that says that Doge illegally agreed to the Central Payment System of the Treasury Department at the request of the Trump Administration.
