A Michigan man He has been arrested after the police said he led more than 700 miles to set fire to the Pennsylvania house of a man who had communicated with his ex -girlfriend online.
The Bensalem Police Department Said Harrison Jones, 21, from Rockford, Michigan, was arrested for setting fire to a house with six people inside. The people inside were hospitalized, while the two family dogs, Trey and Jett, could not escape the house and died.
The authorities said that people inside the house could escape thanks to the mother, who heard suspicious noises, before finding the fire and evacuating her family, and added that some family members even had to jump from the windows of the second floor to escape the flames.
“It’s a miracle that everyone survived,” said Bensalem Public Security Director, William Mcvey, during a press conference from Monday morning. “And we accredited the mother of that house for taking the actions she did to protect her family and make sure everyone lived.”

Two days after the fire, the researchers were able to track the vehicle back to Jones, obtain an arrest warrant, and leave it in custody.

The researchers added that Jones also had apparent burns in the arm.
The authorities confirmed that Jones is the ex -boyfriend of a Michigan woman who had been in an online relationship with a male resident in Bensalem’s house since 2023. However, a reason for the fire is still being investigated.
Judicial documents obtained by Fox 29 Philadelphia Let’s say that Jones was supposed to take his ex -girlfriend to meet the man with whom he was communicating in Bensalem, to a local hotel in the near future. Instead, the researchers say he led Bensalem on his own with “murderous intentions.”

The authorities said Jones is accused of six charges of attempted homicide, caused fire and related crimes. He is currently waiting for extradition to Pennsylvania.
According to a Gofundme page, the family, identified as “Andrew and Stacy Zalenski, along with their two children, Alex and Ava, and the parents of Stacy, Joe and Karen Wendowski, lost everything.”
“Currently, our family members are going through a horrible time in their lives. If you have animals, you know they are part of your family, and they mean everything for this family,” says the publication.
“Stacy tried to do everything possible to save them, risking his life by returning to the burning house, but he needed to jump from the window of the second floor because he felt losing knowledge.”
The family member who created the Gofundme page added that the Zalenski family “has gone through a lot in the last three years, with Stacy fighting in a long and hard battle against cancer and now losing his home.”
