Bill Maher slams liberals who separate families during the holidays for political reasons: ‘Fuck you, you bastards’

Liberal comedian Bill Maher criticized his own camp for isolating family members over the holidays for political reasons.

In Sunday’s delivery of his “Random club“, Maher and fellow comedian Jay Leno bonded over the late entertainment icon Sammy Davis Jr. and how he embraced President Richard Nixon.

Leno noted that he was seen as a “traitor” among Hollywood liberals for his embrace of the Republican president.

“It’s so funny you mention that because, like today, we live in this day and age where you’re not allowed to have friends on the other side or cross political lines,” Maher told Leno. “And I forgot there’s an example from that time, when a guy who crossed political lines: ‘Oh, the worst thing you could do: be friends with a Republican. Ahh! Call 911!'”

“This is what I hate about the left,” Maher continued. “And they’re not going to take me over to Trump’s side, which they think they will sometimes, but just the idea of, you know, ‘cutting off your family on Thanksgiving if they voted for the wrong guy.'” Fuck you, you bastards.’ And Sammy, when he embraced Nixon, he was very much ostracized by the left. “That was an early harbinger of that.”

Maher expressed a similar feeling on his HBO show “Real Time” last month during a monologue following President-elect Donald Trump’s victory.

He took aim at Yale University’s chief resident psychiatrist, Dr. Amanda Calhoun, who raised eyebrows when she told MSNBC’s Joy Reid It was okay to separate family members. who voted for Trump and not being with them during the holidays.
