Patel also issued a clear warning in his first message after being confirmed, saying: “Those who seek to harm Americans, consider this warning. We will hunt you in every corner of this planet.”
Patel has been a Trump ally for a long time and a fierce opponent of investigations on the president. During his confirmation hearing last month, Patel promised that he would not participate in a political compensation against the agents who worked in the case of Trump’s classified documents and other politically sensitive issues.
