Steinbrenner continued to explain that knowing this led him to a “true concern” that politics could be harmful to the final objective of the Yankees to win their first World Series Title since 2009.

Steinbrenner, who happened to his father as a controller owner in November 2008, said he had considered the problem for some time, but said that this season he actively discussing the problem with the players and others.
