Hamas says that conversations with Israel on more steps in the high -fire of Gaza’s fire are conditioned to the Palestinian prisoners being released as agreed.

Israel said Sunday that it delayed the release of more than 600 Palestinians in exchange for six live hostages and four dead who had been released, accusing Hamas of repeated violations, including “humiliating” delivery ceremonies.

A high Hamas official said the decision presented the entire “serious danger” agreement and asked the mediators, especially the United States, to press Israel.

The first phase of the six -week temporary truce and will expire on Saturday, but indirect negotiations in the second phase and the end of the war have not yet begun.

The UN Secretary General, António Guterres, warned that the high fire was “precarious” and that the resumption of hostilities at all costs should be avoided.

He also requested the “launch worthy of all the remaining hostages.”

On Saturday, the beginning of the sixth and last week of the first phase of the high -fire agreement, Hamas launched six live Israeli hostages.

As with many of the previous transfers, five of them were taken to stages with armed combatants before being transferred to the Red Cross and then taken to Israel.

Later, Hamas published a video of two hostages in a vehicle watching one of the delivery ceremonies and seemed to beg the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to take them out too. A forum that represents the families of the hostages condemned the video as a “disgusting sample of cruelty.”

There was already fury in Israel after Hamas returned the bodies of four hostages earlier for the week, including those of Shiri Bibas and their two young children Ariel and Kfir, who were kidnapped during the attacks of October 7, 2023 against Israel.

It emerged on Friday that Hamas had delivered the remains of a Palestinian woman instead of Mrs. Bibas. The group said there had been an error and transferred Mrs. Bibas’s body later that day.

The Israeli authorities also said that an autopsy had shown that the captors of Ariel and Kfir killed the children “with their naked hands”, contradicting Hamas’ statement that they died in an Israeli air strike.

Israel was scheduled to release 620 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the 10 hostages. More than 400 were Gazanos arrested by Israeli forces during the war, while 50 of the prisoners fulfilled life imprisonment in Israeli prisons.

According to the reports, buses had already addressed in a prison in the occupied West Bank when the order came to suspend its release, while Netanyahu consulted the ministers.

In the early hours of Sunday, the prime minister’s office said that liberation would be postponed “in the light of repeated Hamas violations, including ceremonies that humiliate our hostages and the cynical exploitation of our hostages for propaganda purposes.”

“It has been decided to delay the launch of terrorists that was planned for yesterday until the launch of the next hostages has been insured, and without humiliating ceremonies.”

Hamas, who is banned as a terrorist organization for Israel, the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries, denounced Israel’s decision as a “blatant violation” of the agreement and warned us the mediators of Qatar, Qatar and Egyptians that it could not There are conversations to extend the fire. Until the prisoners were released.

“We have transmitted a clear and strong message to the mediators: we cannot continue to discuss the additional steps if these 620 Palestinians are not released.” The Hamas political office member, Basem Naim, said in an interview with Al Jazeera on Monday.

When asked if the scheduled launch of the bodies of four other Israeli hostages on Thursday could be affected, he replied that “all options are on the table.”

“Before going to the next step, we must be sure that the last step (it will happen),” he added.

“Netanyahu is clearly sending strong messages that is intentionally sabotizing the agreement, is preparing the atmosphere to return to war. Therefore, what are the guarantees that the other four bodies could take and again not to release the agreed number of Palestinians, plus the 620 Palestinians? “

Naim said that Hamas had discussed Israel’s complaints about hostage delivery ceremonies, but denied being humiliating and claimed that the Israeli authorities had mistreated Palestinian prisoners before being released.

The White House supported Israel’s decision to delay the release of the prisoner, saying that it was an “appropriate response” to what he called the “barbarian treatment” of Hamas’s hostages.

But the middle of the Middle East of President Donald Trump, Steve Witkoff, said he would travel to the region this week with the aim of obtaining “an extension of phase one.”

“We hope that we have the right time … to start phase two, and finish it and get more hostages,” he told CNN on Sunday.

It is assumed that a total of 33 Israeli hostages will be exchanged for about 1,900 Palestinian and detained prisoners of Gaza during the first phase of the high fire agreement.

Until now, 25 hostages and four dead hostages have been published, while the bodies of the last four hostages are scheduled to be delivered this week. Five live Thai hostages have also been released outside the agreement.

The agreement has also seen Israeli forces withdraw from densely populated areas of Gaza. Hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians have allowed them to return to their homes in the north and now hundreds of help trucks in the territory are allowed every day.

The second phase of the high fire should see the remaining hostages released, a complete Israeli withdrawal and a high permanent heat.

The Israeli army launched a campaign to destroy Hamas in response to an unprecedented cross -border attack on October 7, 2023, in which some 1,200 people were killed and 251 were taken as hostages.
