Back Against The Wall: Tszyu’s forced fight against Joey Spencer on April 6

The former Junior Junior weight champion of the OMB, Tim Tszyu, desperately needs a victory on April 6 against Joey Spencer in a fight in Kayo Sports in Australia and Amazon Prime Video in the United States in the Newcastle Entertainment Center.

A fight to win

If you have something, Spencer (19-1, 11 kos) is a won fight for Tszyu. A loss for this type is indicated at the end of Tim as an important player. It can still pass, obviously, but it would not be as before.

Tszyu (24-2, 17 kos) has lost its last two fights and has been without winning since 2023. The Junior medium-sized IBF champion, Bakhram Murtazaliev, destroyed him in three rounds on October 19. Before that, Tim lost his 154 -pound WBO title against Sebastian Fundora for a divided decision of 12 rounds last year on March 30. That defeat may have taken more from Tszyu than anyone may have noticed because it seemed like a shell of himself in his fight against Bakhram.

Tszyu needs to adapt if things go badly against Spencer because he couldn’t do it against Murtazaliev. Tim There were no adjustments at all after they left it three times in the second round. He simply continued advancing, throwing power and shot down.

“This is my redemption tour. I will return stronger, more hungry and ready to demonstrate a point. You don’t have to relax, without tuning fights, only in the fire with a very, very good fighter in Joey Spencer, ”said Tszyu. “He is a true fighter, a dangerous opponent and exactly the type of challenge I yearn.”

Tim is a bit false here because Spencer is a tuning but high level. He is a marginal contender who took a step forward once in his career and Jesús Ramos destroyed in seven rounds on March 25, 2023.

“We chose the deep background. Without safety networks, without heating. Sink or swim: I am here to make a statement. If I have to walk through the fire to return to the top, so it is. This is what I live, ”said Tszyu.
