President Donald Trump directed his attention to The Keystone XL pipe On Monday night, asking the company to build it to “return to America and build it, now!”
Trump said he was “just thinking” about how the construction of the pipe was “brutally shattered by the incompetent Biden administration”, and promised that things are different now under their leadership.
“I know they were treated very badly by the dream Joe Biden, but the Trump administration is very different: easy approvals, almost immediate start! If not them, maybe another pipeline company. We want the Keystone XL pipe to be built! “
The pipe has been at the forefront of the political debate since the project began in 2010, and was finally arrested by former President Barack Obama before it ended. Trump revived him during his first mandate.

However, former president Joe Biden He ordered the cancellation of the pipe through the executive order on his first day in office in January 2021, which led to thousands of job losses.
TC Energy, the Keystone XL pipe operator, finally resigned from the project in June 2021 as a result of Biden’s decision to cancel its federal permits.
Then, in 2023, a federal judge launched a legal challenge of almost two dozen states asking the court to restore pipe permits.

The pipe had been scheduled to be completed at the beginning of 2023 and would transport 830,000 additional crude oil barrels from Canada to the USA. through an existing pipe network, according to TC Energy. It was also projected to create thousands of jobs, many of which would have been work of the Union.
In December 2022, the Department of Energy of the Biden Administration (DOE) published a report that said that the Keystone XL project would have created between 16,149 and 59,000 jobs and would have had a positive economic impact between $ 3.4 and $ 9.6 billion, citing several studies.

“Joe Biden’s action costs tens of thousands of jobs and billions of dollars and each American family is still paying more every day,” Daniel Turner, the founder and executive director of Power The Future, shared with Fox News Digital in a Previous statement.
The system was designed to transport oil from Alberta to states such as Illinois, Texas and Oklahoma.
In January, Danielle Smith, Alberta’s prime minister, Canada, said she was interested in talking with him Trump administration on the potential reopening of the pipe project.

“Restart the Keystone XL pipe is aligned with the president Trump’s agenda to reduce food and energy costs by reinforcing the energy infrastructure of North America and reducing dependence on expensive imports,” said Jason Isaac, CEO of the American Energy Institute (AEI), said Fox News Digital.
Another expert said that Trump will probably face litigation if he decides to proceed with the construction of the pipe, but that Congress could help limit legal actions.
