Look: Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan, come to us

Andrew and Tristan Tate, the controversial influencers of British-American social networks accused of rape, human trafficking and money laundering, have been released from travel restrictions in Romania after several high-level officials were interested in their case.

It is not clear what, if any, the administration of Donald Trump may have played in his release, but it is said that one of Trump’s main envoys raised the case with Rominos Minister of Romania, Emil Hurzeanu, at a security conference in Munich earlier this month.

Andrew Tate jumped to fame after appearing at the United Kingdom’s reality show Big Brother, and then making a series of extreme and controversial statements about women and policies on social networks.

The couple directed a webcam business and was accused of human trafficking and rape along with two suspicious Romanians in June 2023.

They also face separate and unrelated accusations from the trafficking of violations and people in the United Kingdom, and civil demands in the United States and the United Kingdom. Negan all accusations, which their American lawyer calls “false defamatory and unequivocal.”

On Thursday, the brothers arrived in Florida after they were previously forbidden to leave Romania, while the case against him is pending.

The couple’s lawyers say they will return to Bucharest for judicial audiences.

What does the White House say?

When asked about the Tates in the White House on Thursday, President Trump said: “I don’t know any of that.”

But the brothers have been subject to recent high -level discussions between the United States and Romania.

Romanian officials say that American counterparts mentioned the case of the brothers with the Romanian government earlier this month, a story informed for the first time by the Financial Times.

And Trump’s special envoy Richard Grenelll raised the problem again at a security conference in Munich.

Huzeanu said the Tates were mentioned during that conversation, but denied having been pressed to free the couple.

The Tate brothers are Trump supporters and also have links with figures in their administration.

One of Tate’s lawyers now works as a bond of the White House with the United States Department of Justice.

Paul Ingrassia was part of a team that represents the Tate brothers in a demand for defamation presented in Florida against several of their alleged victims.

Ingrassia also acted as a publicist of Tate and says that he got the influencer in a show presented by Tucker Carlson, former Fox News presenter.

He has praised Tate in online publications. In one dating from July 2023, he called Tate “an extraordinary human being” who was offering “a west dying some hope of renewal.”

Ingrassia did not respond to a comment request on Thursday.

Several people have also talked about the Tates in Trump’s orbit, including Donald Trump JR and Elon Musk.

Trump JR once called the arrest of Tate in Romania “Absolute madness.”

Musk restored Andrew Tate’s story, which had been prohibited in X, and suggested, perhaps in a joke, that Tate would be a good prime minister of the United Kingdom.

Joseph McBride, a lawyer who represents the Tates in a case of defamation that they have presented against several of their accusers in Florida, said in a statement: “They feel safe in the United States for several reasons, the main one is that Donald Trump is the president.”

The statement claimed that the Tates and others are victims of “armed legal systems” and “politically motivated prosecutions.”

McBride did not answer the questions about whether White House officials played some role in the elimination of travel restrictions against the Tate brothers.

THE ‘PERICA’

Trump and his advisors know the political power of the color, a popular and very online subculture that attracts fans of the mixed martial arts struggle, video games, cryptocurrencies and other stereotypically male activities.

It is an extensive scene that includes men who reject the company of women completely, a scene of “collection artist” full of advice on how to find casual connections and many conventional podcasts and YouTube channels full of humor humor.

President’s advisors aimed at the same audience during last year’s election campaignWhen Trump, JD Vance and others in his orbit were put in podcasts and did interviews with new media.

The views of the Tate brothers are found at one of the extreme borders of the light. Andrew Tate himself has not hidden his misogynist, hateful and sexist views.

In podcasts and clips online, talk about how women are property, how men should not allow brides to leave without them or talk to other men.

In an extremely graphic language, violence against women has described and spoke about how victims of sexual aggression have the responsibility of rape.

Tate and his brother at the same time sell a glamorous lifestyle of faces, cigarettes and luxury cars that includes messages of personal improvement aimed at young men, an image that cost him a large audience before being torn from most main social media platforms.

He told the BBC in a 2023 interview: “I preach hard work, discipline. I am an athlete, anti -drug preaching, procurement, do not preach alcohol, do not preach any knife crime. Every problem with modern society I am against.”

Like many other extreme influencers, in the face of criticism, he often states that his publications are satire or jokes, mocking his detractors as their messages extend even more, driven by online indignation.

Trump’s supporters separate

The couple’s supporters were delighted with their release and anxious to proclaim their innocence, despite the outstanding charges against them.

Meanwhile, four British women who filed a civil lawsuit against Andrew Tate issued a statement that asked the United Kingdom authorities to “take action”, saying they were “in disbelief and feel reaumatized by the news.”

And support for the Tates is far from universal among Trump’s supporters and American conservatives, many of whom moved to distance themselves from the brothers.

Ron Desantis, the Governor of Florida, where Tates landed on Thursday, said about his activities: “Florida is not a place where with that type of behavior.”

The State Attorney General said later Would open a preliminary investigation into the tates And he said that Florida has “zero tolerance for human trafficking and violence against women.”

In the conservative Washington Examiner, Podcaster Brady Leonard wrote: “The unpleasant and misogynist brand of Tate is toxic to all, in addition to the corners of socially insignificant social networks.”

Matt Lewis, a conservative commentator of the United States who has been critical of Trump in the past, said that advocating in the name of Tate “fits the spirit of the world of Maga at this time, which is: ‘Let’s be hard guys'”.

“But I also believe that he speaks of a legitimate problem, which we have seen in the last two decades, a problem with men … where there is an epidemic of solitude, a feeling that the world is happening to them, a feeling that modernity has made it more difficult to succeed as a husband and father. I think it has had some real psychic effects,” he said.

“There is a very good contingency of Trump’s supporters who will probably welcome this type and will probably even see it as a victim of persecution.”
