The Peace Negotiations of Russia-Ukraine stopped on Friday after an oval office meeting between the president Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy exploded with anger.
The world now is wondering where the negotiations are going here and if the two world leaders can repair their relationship enough for the United States to run peace. Some say that Europe may need to step forward and get involved to help end hostilities, while others think Zelenskyy needs To do significant damage or lower damage.
“It is difficult to foresee what happens later,” a European official told Fox News Digital. “The optics was simply terrible … This is another sign for Europe to act together and support Ukraine. Mobilize foreign assets of Russia. Buy weapons for Ukraine. Increase the defense spending this year. Advance with the EU membership. There are things that Europe can do to help Ukraine build leverage.”
Trump said he did not believe that Zelenskyy was “ready” for the participation of the United States in the peace process, and the Republicans who once supported helping Ukraine’s struggle against Russia seem to have tired of the Ukrainian leader.

Senator Lindsey Graham, RS.C., a firm defender of Ukraine, said after the meeting that the nation devastated by the war may need to find a new leader who can work with Trump.
“The question for me, for the Ukrainian people … I don’t know if Zelensky can take you where you want to go with the United States. Or change drastically or have to get someone new,” said Graham.
Another former state department official Europe said
“I think we are going to have to do with an emergency meeting of Europeans with the United States, and I think there will have to be some cooling at this time between Zelenskyy and the United States,” said Joel Rubin, deputy secretary deputy state during the administration of Obama.
“That oval meeting was the ruin of Zelenskyy’s political career or the ruin of Ukraine,” said former representative Mike García, a Republican who served as an informal link between President Mike Johnson and members of the Rank Chamber in Ukraine. “One of those two will cease to exist in the coming months.”
He added that Friday’s dispute was a natural result that Zelenskyy operated under a “blank check mentality.”
“The pill that Zelenskyy seems not to have swallowed is that he will not get everything he wants,” Garcia told Fox News Digital. “He was humiliated on the global stage at a time when his people needed to be a little friendlier and grateful for these things he has obtained.

He White House He was taken by surprise by the “combativeness” of Zelenskyy after President Donald Trump accused him of being a “dictator” last week and invited him to the White House to sign a mineral agreement this week.
“The president and the vice president did not expect Zelenskyy to participate in such disrespectful behavior,” said a source close to Vance.
The intentional White House meeting was interrupted when the attendees escorted Zelenskyy of the facilities before the closed doors began.
“You don’t have the cards right now. With us, you start having cards,” Trump told Zelenskyy.

“Offer some words of thanks for the United States of America and the president who is trying to save his country, please,” Vance told Zelenskyy.
“Have you ever been in Ukraine? Have you seen the problems we have once,” said the Ukrainian president.

Trump announced after the meeting that Zelenskyy can return to the oval office “when he is ready for peace.”
“We had a very significant meeting in the White House today. It was much learned that it could never be understood without conversation under that fire and pressure,” Trump wrote.
“It is surprising what comes out through emotion, and I have determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for peace if the United States is involved, because he feels that our participation gives him a great advantage in the negotiations. I do not want advantage, I want peace. He did not respect the United States of America in his appreciated Oval office. He can return when he is ready for peace.”
