During his illustrious 40 -year -old Hollywood career, the legendary actor Genes Hackman He left his brand in the cinema. With its versatile range, Hackman assumed famous roles, from hard parts to villain characters, heroes and even a coach.
The two -time Oscar winning actor was found dead with his wife, the classic pianist Betsy Arakawa and his dog at his home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Wednesday afternoon.
Hackman was 95 years old at the time of his death, and his wife was 63 years old.
Hollywood cried Hackman, who had more than 100 credits to act his historic career, as one of the greats. Bill Murray, Dustin Hoffman, Francis Ford Coppola and others publicly paid tribute to Hackman as questions remain that surround the death of the film star.

Hackman’s cinematographic credits include “The BirdCage”, “Unforgiven”, “Mississippi Burning”, “Crimson Tide”, “The Poseidon Adventure”, “Bonnie and Clyde”, “I never sang for my father”, “Young Frankenstein”, “Reds”, “The Quick and The Dead” and “Enemy of the State”.

1. The French connection
In the 1971 film, directed by William Friedkin, Hackman portrayed the Narcotics detective Jimmy “Popeye” Doyle.
Hackman was recognized for his Oscar winning performance In the film of actor Viola Davis, who paid tribute to the legendary actor after his death.

2. The conversation
In the 1974 film, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, Hackman assumed the role of Harry Caul, an expert in audio surveillance in San Francisco who stumbles with a murder plot.
Coppola cried the loss of Hackman.
“The loss of a great artist, always cause of mourning and celebration: Gene Hackman, a great actor, inspiring and magnificent in his work and complexity, crying his loss and celebrating his existence and contribution,” he wrote on Instagram with a photo of Hackman on a movie set.

3. Hoosiers
Hackman bowed to his sports side when he portrayed a basketball coach in the movie “Hoosiers” in 1986.
Directed by David Anspaough, Hackman played Norman Dale, a basketball coach who failed at the university level and received another opportunity in a Secondary School in Indiana.

4. The Royal Tenenbaums
In 2001, Hackman assumed the role of Royal Tenenbaum, an uncollectible lawyer who tries to connect with his children separated through an elaborate lie, taking out his grandchildren for a day of crossings, riding on the back of a garbage truck, throwing through New York, crossing the street with a sign that is not moving, the shopping milk in a cellar in a code Water balls, take the street to the street, puts Pail’s street to the street, on a sign that is not stand out “Julio and I in the courtyard of the school”.

5. Superman
Hackman portrayed the famous villain Lex Luthor in the 1978 “Superman” film. Starring next to Christopher Reeve, the action comedy broke the offices of the box at that time. Hackman continued to repeat his role in “Superman II” of 1980 and “Superman IV: The Quest For Peace of 1987.
