The representative Byron Donalds, R-Fla., Took the time on Sunday to address rumors that First Lady Casey Desantis He could throw his hat into the governors’ career in an opposite attempt to succeed her husband once her mandate expires in 2027.
“I remember that in 2018 he campaigned for a then Congressman Desantis who had the support of Donald Trump, and that worked very well for our state,” Donalds said, speaking with Maria Bartyrome from Fox News in an exclusive “Futures on Sunday morning.”
“In 2025, passing to 2026, I feel really honored to have the same support of President Trump. He has a history of making good elections, and I think his elections have always worked for the Sunshine State. I am happy to have the support of President Trump,” he added.

Governor Ron Desantis, last Monday, refused to approve the race last week. His wife Casey has not yet made a formal announcement despite the suggestions that could join the race at some point.
Donalds said he will remain “Floridanos centered“And it will offer attention to the primary challengers once they have officially entered the race.
“We will focus on ideas to move our state to the next level,” he added.
