President Donald Trump He will do the first address of his second term to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday. His first six weeks were dominated by ongoing executive actions, redefining international relations and government efficiency efforts. Political strategists shared with Fox News Digital what to expect from Trump’s great speech.
Republican strategists say Trump should tell the story of their first six weeks, contrasting with former president Joe BidenAdministration. Meanwhile, the Democrats focus on what they say is Trump’s failure to reduce prices.
Senator Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., Has the task of the refutation of the party.
“Trump is going to contrast with the previous administration. The previous administration was weak and without direction. No one knew who was in charge. No one really understood what the Biden administration defended. There could not be a more dramatic change from Biden to Trump,” said political columnist Kristin Tate.
Republicans say Trump should highlight the issues of their first six weeks and explain how their executive actions reflect their greatest vision for the country.

“You need to tell a story. You need to weave all the things you have done, all this progress during the last month in a story and a subject and tell it,” said Republican strategist Matt Gorman. “He did very well during his inauguration. It is an update of state. I think it is really important that he weaves all these actions and all the things he has done in a great story about what he means to us as Americans, but also what he means for his vision for the next three and four years.”

Republican strategists told Fox News Digital that Trump should tell Americans how the key promises of the campaign have already fulfilled, including the deceleration of illegal border crossings, reverse Biden’s green energy policies, their “restlessness” of the Department of Justice and its work to eliminate Dei.
“I hope, and he will turn the victory in some of those elements because it represents the promises made, the promises maintained. But then you need to launch the vision oriented forward: where are we going from here? What are the legislative elements of Big-Ticket?

Reed said Trump should focus on “legislative priorities and go beyond executive orders.” And as the leaders fight with the consequences of the heated Trump meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy On Friday, Reed said Trump could restore the narrative on Tuesday night.
“For everything that has happened in recent days in foreign policy, I think it is an opportunity to restore the narration of what you want to do at national level,” said Reed. “Friday’s events are obviously going to launch a shadow on tomorrow. But look, President Trump is in many ways dealing with the excess disaster (from) to his predecessor on the global front. In his mind, the problems he faces, the challenges that occurred in Ukraine would not have happened in his surveillance. He still has the residue of the administration of the Biene to treat. It is possible, the future is advised.

To contrast Trump’s speech, the National Democratic Committee He argues that Trump does not meet his campaign promise to reduce costs and boost the economy. During Trump’s fifth speech to a joint session of Congress, Democrats and Republicans agreed that it is unlikely to invite new Americans to the fold.
“He is president of everyone, but I don’t hope that Democrats suddenly change his mind. They are trying to discover less what they think about Trump and more what they are going to do about him. And they don’t have an answer for the latter.
Brad Bannon, president of Bannon Communications Research, said Trump has done very little in his first weeks to appeal to anyone beyond his “Maga Base Vote.”
“I don’t see any sign that he is trying to attract anyone who will not vote for him last year,” said Bannon. “He has control of the Congress, a Supreme Court that meets. I think everything he has done … It has been attracting the people who already support him, and he is not making any effort to arrive. It would surprise me a lot if he does it on Tuesday night.”
Tate, however, urged Trump to extend an olive branch to moderate democrats during his speech.

“I even believe that he will approach the hall and release some compliments to some of the most moderate Democrats. He really needs to do this. The senator (John) Fetterman of Pennsylvania would be a great option to highlight as a Democrat who is not blinded by the odious partisure, but he is looking to find a common terrain to help the days of the days,” he said.
“Trump has much to be proud, and maintains the assurance that he will shed a light on all those great achievements that have taken place in such a short period of time, and he will paint a great vision for the future of the United States, including not only what the United States represents, but what can be the best,” Tate continued.
Trump has the main speech on Tuesday night, but the Democrats also have an opportunity with Slotkin’s response to frame their own message about what the Democratic Party represents. Bannon said Trump won because Americans believed that the country was heading in the wrong direction.

“The Democrats would be making an error if their response to Trump is only trying to preserve the status quo,” he said. “I think the Democrats have to be bold and be bold. Not only the need to defend the worth of the programs that Trump is arbitrarily cutting, but must go beyond that and define the version of the Democratic Party of what they would do to change the status quo. That is Trump’s greatest attraction. He appeals to people who are not happy with the status quo They just say, well, we have to keep what we already have.
