The man in Florida Swallows stole Tiffany’s earrings before the police will arrest him

An alleged thief in Florida swallowed stolen earrings worth more than half a million dollars moments before the police stopped him last week.

Orlando Police accused the man, Jaythan Gilder, 32, of lying to the employees of Tiffany & Co. in a Florida store telling them that he represented “a professional athlete”, which led employees to show him “several pieces of high value.”

Mr. Gilder supposedly stole the earrings and ran out of the store.

When the officers reached him later that day, they saw Mr. Gilder “swallowing several objects that are believed to be the stolen earrings,” said the police.

Supposedly, Gilder tried to steal two pairs of earrings worth $ 769,500 (£ 597,000), as well as a diamond ring that supposedly dropped while fleding the store.

Later, the Police launched an radiography that seemed to show the abdomen of an individual with a strange object inside.

When the BBC asked him, Orlando police did not say if they had recovered the jewels.

Police also said that Gilder has stolen Tiffany & Co before, stealing a Texas store in 2022.

There are also 48 separate arrest orders in the near Colorado.

Police accused Mr. Gilder of theft of a mask and a great robbery in the first degree, which involved stolen goods valued at more than $ 100,000. It is presumed innocent until it is proven guilty in court.
