The French police closed the traffic to and from the train station of Paris Gare du Nord on Friday after a bomb of the Second World War without exploiting in the roads that lead to the terminal, the trains companies reported.
The bomb was found during the works during the night on the tracks, Train Line B published in X. Media said the discovery was made in the Saint-Denis area, a suburb of Paris.
The Eurostar and all the other trains stopped while the police worked to disable the device. The Eurostar website shows three trains scheduled to leave on Friday morning were canceled.
Traffic was postponed up to at least 10:00 local time (09:00 GMT), RER B published in its latest update.
Eurostar said in its update that “due to an object on the tracks near Paris Gare du Nord, we expect an interruption in our services this morning.”
Passengers could change their ticket for free to travel on another date or time in the same class, subject to availability, said the train company.
