Oliver Stark 9-1-1 The character, Evan “buck” buckley, is preparing to move the best friend Eddie Diaz to Texas – and is he No Treatment with it well.
“He deals with abandonment all his life, and this is a huge piece of puzzle and the composition of who he is is that he felt abandoned many times,” said Stark, 33, exclusively Us every week before the premiere in the middle. “And I think something about 118 and Eddie, especially because of their bond outside 118, is someone that Buck did not expect to deal with it.”
Stark pointed out that Buck’s deep -rooted leaving problems occur back to the “Buck Begins” episode in Season 4 when he learned that he had an older brother who died of leukemia just after he was born – and was conceived with hope to give his bone marrow.
Warning: Spoilers below for Season 8, Episode 9 of 9-1-1.
In the “Sob Stories”, which premiered on Thursday, March 6, these problems with abandonment keep a nasty head again when, despite their best attempts, Buck cannot help but a spiral over Eddie (Ryan Guzman) imminent move to the state of a lonely star to be closer to his son Christopher (Gavin mchugh).
From sabotage of potential subleases to the adoption of an animal for knee baking, Buck clearly fights for the loss of its greatest confidant. Stark said that abandonment hit Buck “extra hard”, because as far as Eddie is concerned, “never” was expected to have to say goodbye.
“I think it is the foundation why he hits him so hard, because it is something that depended so much on so much stability, and belief in this stability,” he explained, adding that he heard that he listened to Eddie, that there was nothing and no one kept him in LA.
“Listen, no one wants to hear what Eddie says?” Eddie didn’t mean it in this way, but Buck clearly interpreted that because I really don’t care about me, ”Stark explained. “That’s not what Eddie says, not at all, but Buck is emotional, a person who is heard and interpreted them like this and ran with it.” This is harmful and acts from the site of injury and regurgitated trauma. ”
Stark added that Eddie is “It is obvious that a huge part“Buck’s life -” it cannot be denied, “he said – he noted that Buck is launching an episode of” intention to help “his friend to rent his apartment before things get worse.
“He really wants to be a good friend for him and to be part of the process and take the weight of Eddie’s shoulders as much as possible,” Stark insisted. “And I think he almost convinces that he wants (he moves) and (if) it’s the best for Eddie, then it’s the best for me.”
Buck, Stark pointed out, “Almost blinds” about how painful Eddie is leaving in reality. “He will not allow himself to feel these emotions because he wants to be a supportive friend and wants to be there just and help.” So he didn’t dare to really immerse himself in these emotions and (thinking) about how difficult it would be for him. Because then he would be an obstacle in the way to do it, ”Stark explained as he smiled,“ How he will end. ”
Buck, which is faithful to form, ends up doing the right thing until the end of the episode and goes beyond the fact that it actually enters – under the false name Freddie Fakeman – to rent Eddie’s home while it is gone. Before this moment of clarity, however, Buck and Eddie find themselves in contradiction as spectators often do not see. This tension was something Stark enjoyed playing, even for a rhythm.
“She’s always fun to do it.” We all have a really large level of confidence and security as a cast. So at those moments when we become a little more antagonistic towards each other, it’s fun, ”he admitted. “Like such things, I love to press the buttons and see how far you can push the envelope on it.” The conflict is a drama and makes a great TV. I’m always here. ”
The drama is served in Spades in the “Sobesní Stories” – and we are not talking about the whole Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt). When Eddie reaches its limit over Buck, which sabotages its moving plans, Buck accuses that he has always “proven himself”. For Stark, however, the situation is more complicated.
“I think that’s what we all do to some extent, right?” We all have reactions to scenarios, ”said Stark. “We feel we feel and react.” Buck can only respond to any given situation where it stands in it. And he’s true in the scene where he says, “It’s not even the question that I don’t ask you not to go and get your son. Of course your son will win. “He’s not misleading, he’s not stupid and he wouldn’t want it. But he is also injured. ”
Human beings, Stark explained, can feel and want more things at the same time. “At the same time, you may want someone to go and do what is best for them, and you will miss them, do you know?” This does not mean that (wants) Christopher to be alone forever. It’s just that he’s a complex being, as we are all and feels more than one thing at the same time. ”
Finally, Buck’s hope of Eddie and Christopher’s happiness and Buck will complete the episode feel good about his decision to rent Eddie’s apartment. According to Stark, however, these positive feelings will not last too long.
“I think it’s just not as smooth from the transition as he expects it to be,” Stark said Our Buck’s New Digs. “You know, he moves into a space that reminds him of his missing friend.” So yeah … he won’t be as smooth to the transition as he hoped, or he expected it to be. ”
Will Buck turn to a new dog? After all, the first to save from the fire, eventually went home to its justified owners. (Whoa, everyone really will always leave Buck!) Stark said that “he will love” Poocha friend for his character, but as the owner of dogs himself is not sure that it would make much sense.
“The problem is that firefighters work very long hours.” Who will take care of the dog? Is that dog a walk? Will it be released at peeing? These are the questions I have to ask, ”he joked. “And I like the idea of working more with a dog, but I just don’t know the practicality for Buck.”
So if no dog, what’s next to Buck? It remains under the wrap, but whatever it is, viewers are seemingly to ride. When he asked how the rest of Buck’s Season 8 Journey described in three words, Stark said Our: “Unpleasant, opportunities and devastating.” Well, that sounds alarming!
