However, District prosecutor Shawn Dick said that after talking with multiple witnesses, Williamson County authorities will not present charges.
“After an additional investigation by the Sheriff’s Office of Williamson County and an additional discussion with a witness of a third party, Mr. Worthy and his lawyers, this case is being rejected at this time waiting for the completion of the investigation by the Sheriff’s office of Williamson County,” Dick said in an email, according to the medium.
“Mr. Worthy and his lawyers are fully cooperating with this investigation.
“We will continue to evaluate the case. As is our practice with all the decreases, if it develops additional information that indicates a probable cause in this case, our office will consider that information and may present the case at that time to a large jury of Williamson County.”
Shortly after news of the arrest emerged, Lawyers Chip Lewis and Sam Bassett He issued a statement in Worthy in which they claimed their innocence.

“We are aware of the accusation that led to the arrest of Mr. Worthy,” said the statement, obtained by Associated Press. “We are working with the police in Williamson County to ensure that they have the benefit of all the circumstances that led to this accusation.”
The lawyers argued that the “plaintiff” refused to leave Worthy’s house despite the numerous applications. Worthy’s representatives also said that the alleged victim tried to extort the NFL star and described the accusation made against her client as “without foundation.”
“The plaintiff was asked several times in the last two weeks to annul Mr. Worthy’s residence when discovering his infidelity, of which a private researcher has evidence in video. He has refused to defounder the residence and made a series of exoritious efforts before resorting to this accusation unfounded against Mr. Worthy.”
According to the statement, Worthy’s property was damaged, and was subjected to bodily damage. The Chiefs receiver also informed the authorities that it was not in favor of pressing charges, according to the statement.
