Ronald D. Moore’s Battlestar Galactica Reboot set the standard for sci-fi television, and fans demanded more of this universe since the last episode was broadcast in 2009. This desire of fans increased only among the unsuccessful efforts of the resurrection of this venerable franchise to another television incarnation. If you are one of them Battlestar Galactica Fans who wanted more content have some good news: in special features for the “scattered” episode, the type of miniature prequel is hidden.
“Scattered” is the first episode of the second season of the show and opens with commander Adam winding from Boomer’s surprising shot and Colonel Tigh, who must take command when the cylons approaches our heroes. Originally, however Battlestar GalacticaThe producers wanted to make the whole episode into a hardened flashback and pretend fans who hoped that the “scattered” quickly solved the cliff and the reef Death in the season 1.
If you are a Battlestar Galactica FAN HUNGRY To check the flashbacks value prequel, you simply have to view special features for “scattered”. Several different scenes set in the distant past were filmed and all were intended to show how surprisingly a tight relationship between Adama and Tigh has created. These scenes go very far beyond limited flashbacks, which we see in a finished episode that are only there to climb Tight’s character.
So you probably ask a simple question: if Battlestar Galactica The producers filmed enough flashback sequences to create a harbinger of the size of the bite, why did they eventually leave them from the finished “scattered”? It all started with the fact that no one wanted to occupy younger versions of our favorite characters, so we have Edward James Olmos and Michael Hogan playing versions of their characters to be decade younger. This was achieved by introducing the actors into terrible wigs, and the producers eventually decided not to bother the audience with all the flashbacks they filmed.
Of course, like hard Battlestar Galactica Fans know, the last episode is still teasing on the prequel we could have because “scattered” Yes include the most effective flashback. In the particularly dark scene, we can see that the younger Tigh is about to commit suicide and was stopped only by discovering it, that Adam had restored him to military service. Moore saw this scene as homage Apocalypse nowAnd just like in this film, it serves as a desolate revelation of how the protagonist is really worried.
Obviously we are huge Battlestar Galactica Fans, but even though we are grateful for his miniature prequel full of deleted scenes, “scattered” is a better episode to keep flashbacks to a minimum. The final episode makes a better job while maintaining momentum from season 1 and get enough flashbacks so that we can exclude our understanding of Tigh as a character. But if we had to look at the horrible wigs of flashback, we would fortunately save Laura Roslin’s efforts and flushing self from the air air.
