The African -American comedian Godfrey believes that the word “racist” has lost its original meaning, being used too often by people who may be afraid to hear the truth of comedians.
In an interview sitting with Fox News Digital, the comic of the Nigerian ancestry, whose full name is Godfrey Danchimah Jr., said he believes that the word “racist” is used so often that it has lost its meaning.
“That word is used too freely,” Godfrey said while he was in Austin, Texas for the SXSW Comedy Festival.

Comedian Godfrey standing talks to Fox News Digital about his comedy style and how some people are too offended by jokes these days.
The veteran Stand-Up comic, who has been in the industry for almost 30 years, declared that people will accuse him of being racist for jokes in which he mentions the race of a person, or by jokes about certain racial stereotypes.
“Van, ‘You’re racist!’ I go, ‘Well, I can’t be.
He continued: “If I go, ‘Well, white people do this a lot. White police do this to blacks:’ Van, ‘You are racist’. No! Are racist because they were stopping me – Stop and Frangant Blacks“
Godfrey said those critics are simply “crazy because I am telling you the truth. I am only describing a white person,” explaining that people often eliminate the accusation of racism just because they say the “white” or “black” words.
He also explained the difference between making jokes about certain groups and discriminating against them.
Godfrey gave advice on how to count risky jokes creatively.
“You know, racist is when you prevent people from buying houses, ‘you can’t come to our neighborhood,’ you know? ‘You can’t have this job because (in) the way you see yourself.’ That is racism,” Godfrey said.
“It is a real institutionalized method to prevent people from progressing. Just because I’m going, ‘Oh, there is a white boy, there is a black boy’, it’s not racism. I’m just describing. You see, there is a difference? It’s a thin line.”
Godfrey said he believes that the accusation is used to divert hard truths that people do not want to listen.
“But that is (a) deviation from when you are telling the truth, because people hate the truth. If you tell an alcoholic who has no help, ‘you are an alcoholic’: ‘No, I do not know, you fuck you!’ You know, ‘But you are an alcoholic.

“Sometimes they tell me: ‘Oh, stay with comedy, not politics.’ I go, ‘Well, politics affects me. Because they are angry with my opinion.”
“Many people are wet today,” he added, describing Sensitive people.
The comic offered advice for those who seek to overcome the limits with their comedy and risk offending people, saying that everything is how “creative” can be while offering a risky line.
“As, if you make racial jokes about specific people, be artistic with that,” he said. “Not only do you say it is only: ‘I want to be racist, so I’m going to make an excuse behind comedy.’ Well, it wasn’t fun.
When describing his own mentality, Godfrey added that there is “art” in being able to make jokes in front of all kinds of people.
“How am I going to do these jokes in front of all these people and talk about what I don’t like about them, but make it fun?” said. “That is art in him.”
