Dylan Mulvaney says ‘religion and faith used against’ trans people

Transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney said transgender people are having “Religion and faith” Used against him, and he hoped that Americans feel “ashamed” looking back in the treatment of the Government for trans people during a CNN interview on Friday.

Mulvaney was criticized after publishing a video in April 2023 revealing that Anheuser-Busch sent Bud Light packages with the influencer’s face as part of a promotional impulse and to celebrate the full year of Mulvaney transition to the “girl”.

Sara Sidner of CNN asked the transgender activist what she told her mother when she approached her as a transgender when she was only four years old.

“I came to her and said: ‘I think that I, God, made a mistake. He put a girl in a boy’s body. And she said:’ God does not make mistakes. ‘And in many ways, I still believe that to be true.” I think many times, queer and trans people feel alienated because they are having religion and faith used against us. “

Mulvaney said during his CNN interview that he needed to take some time outside the center of attention after what he referred to as “beer doors”, his controversial association with Bud Light that resulted in a huge violent reaction. (Getty images)

Sidner then said that the government currently focuses on transgender people “in the most negative way”, referring to President Donald Trump’s Executive Order of “Two Sexes”.

Trump signed a Executive order“Defend women from the extremism of gender ideology and restore biological truth to the federal government,” on their first day in office. The order requires the Federal Government to recognize only two sexes, men and women, based on immutable biological characteristics, which must be reflected in official documents, such as passports.

“There is a whole government that has actually focused a lot on transgender people in the most negative way. Passports are changing to the genre assigned to people at birth. They are saying that there are only two genres. There is only a bath that is allowed to enter. What do you do with all this?” Sidner asked.

Mulvaney responded by recognizing that no matter what a passport says, or what gender a person is known as government officials, does not change who they are and how they see themselves.

“Well, I just have to remember that it doesn’t matter what my passport says or you know which government official is deceiving me, that does not change who I am and who I see every day and who are my trans classmates,” Mulvaney replied.

Trans continued, claiming that the government is using transgender people as a “common enemy” to distract other problems facing the world. Mulvaney also expected people to feel “ashamed” when they look back in this period of time.

“You know, not return to (the musical) ‘evil’, but they talk about finding a common enemy to distract what is happening in the world. We are less than 1% and we are not really damaging anyone. We are not monsters,” said Mulvaney. “So I hope that when we look back in this period of time, we are ashamed of how this looked.”
