President Donald Trump He accused the Department of Justice of former President Joe Biden to transform the agency into the “Department of Injustice”, since they sought to turn the United States into a “corrupt communist” country.
“Our predecessors made this department of justice in the department of injustice,” Trump said Friday in the Department of Justice. “But I stand before you today to declare that those days have ended and that they will never come back.”
Trump has routinely criticized the Department of Justice and FBI From his first term for being corrupt, in the midst of multiple investigations and demands filed against him. The FBI investigated Trump and his 2016 campaign for alleged collusion with Russia, which finally found no evidence that Trump’s campaign coordinated with Russia to influence the result of the elections.
More recently, Trump has been the subject of legal scrutiny after former Attorney General Merrick Garland took advantage of former special lawyer Jack Smith to conduct investigations on Trump’s alleged efforts to cancel the results of the elections in 2020, and Trump’s efforts to obtain supposedly classified materials in Mar-a-lago after his first mandate as president.
“They tried to make the United States a corrupt communist and third world country, but in the end, the thugs failed and the truth won,” Trump said. “Freedom won, justice won, democracy won. And, above all, the American people won.”
“There could be no more atrocious betrayal of US values than using the law to terrorize innocent and reward the evil,” Trump said. “And that is what they were doing at a level that had never been seen before. And it is exactly what you saw with Joe Biden, Merrick Garland and his cronies to make the building in the last four years. They tracked what they have torn is incalculable.”
A Biden spokesman did not respond immediately to a request for comments from Fox News Digital.
