David Pollack of ESPN shares a video of his wife after brain surgery

The video comes after David asked supporters earlier in the week for prayers when Lindsey was prepared for the progress.

On his gaming days David played four seasons in Georgia, a Sec LSU Tigers opponent, who at that time trained Saban. The College Football Hall of Famer was a triple all-American and a double Sec defensive player of the year. Cincinnati Bengals took him with the 17th overall selection of the 2005 NFL design, but the broken vertebra in his throat shortened his career.

David joined ESPN College Gameday in 2011 and eventually became part of the network Thursday night football crew. ESPN released him in 2023 and now organizes podcast “family goals”, speaking sports and belief with pastor Jonathan Howes and his own podcast “David Pollack College Football”.

David and Lindsey grew up in the Gwinnett district in Georgia and attended competing secondary schools. In an interview with ESPN, he revealed that his friends at High School Shiloh told him he couldn’t date a girl from Parkview High. Rather than adhered to their advice, Lindsey married in June 2005.

The couple runs the Pollack Family Foundation with their two children, Nicholas and Leah.
