The former star of the weeping eyes, Candace Parker, reflects on the legacy of Pat Summitt


Before she won a couple of WNBA MVP Trophos, Candace Parker amounted to the National Basketball Prominence at the University of Tennessee. Parker was a member of two winning teams of the National Championship, which won the honors of the most prominent players of the NCAA tournament along the way.

Parker was guided by coach Pat Summitt during his outstanding mandate with The volunteers. Parker, an “NBA on TNT” analyst, took a moment to share how he continues to carry the lessons that the late coach instilled in it years ago.

“I would say that the visual contact is really, very important. And she was the first person who really made me look at her when she spoke,” Parker replied to Adam Lefkoe’s coanfrerion request to share some memorable Summitt tips during a “history time” segment.

Lefkoe thanked Parker and then remembered another story that the three -time WNBA champion once said.

“We all want to have a relationship with someone as you did with PAT,” Lefkoe said. “I will never forget that you tell me the story of how you entered the University. You were injured, and she would only make you sit there. And you would talk. I think it’s a blessing. I want you to thank you for sharing these stories with us because we don’t have these relationships as we did. We loved them.

Parker also serves on the board of directors of the Pat Summitt Foundation. The Foundation seeks to advance in Alzheimer’s investigation.

Summitt is widely considered one of the best coaches in University Basketball history. She won eight national titles during her historical mandate in Tennessee.
