If you are a fans of shooting firearms, then you probably spend a lot of time screaming on TV, because your favorite characters on the screen do a terrible job in blasting your enemies. This is usually an actor’s fault … Like, what else would you expect to happen if someone who has never fired a weapon suddenly filed a props and said to go nuts? However, Battlestar Galactica ‘With Nicki Clyne (who played Cally), she was an exception to the rule: she told Starlog that she was actually cursed by the director at the premiere of the 2 season 2 for burning her weapon too well!
Now if you know a lot about it Battlestar GalacticaYou know that Cally’s character doesn’t spend much time to fight the iconic enemies of the show robots. This is because it is a deck that, as a collaborator and eventual head of the husband Tyrol, specializes in maintaining Vipers in the air and fully functional for Galactica pilots. However, Cally was part of the Gulf of Fire in “Scattered” and Nicki Clyne trained so hard for the moment that when she started shooting at the cylons, the director said, “You shoot those weapons too Well, “Because” Cally didn’t throw a weapon from the basic training! ”
If you have not seen “scattered”, there is some context: in this episode some of our characters will explore Kobol, a kind of legendary planet to be the original birthplace of humanity. Some are temporarily imprisoned on this planet, while Galactica plays a desperate game of cats and mouse with Cylon Bastear and most of the action of this episode takes place aboard the nave and various pilots of the viper. On the planet, however, there are still many events to find out when her survey team is attacked by bloodthirsty robots and must provide the Tyrol chief.
Obviously, Nicki Clyne wanted to get her big action scene against the cylons, and that meant training: as she said, “I focused on it right, because weapons experts showed me how to focus and fire weapons.” This is what led to the fact that director Michael Rymer punished her for “filming these weapons too Well ”, because it would be out of character for a deck that never saw a fight to be so good. The actor complied but also had a “defense” against the criticism of the director: “I thought” hey, if AND can learn to shoot a weapon so fast, then Cally can. “”
While Nicki Clyne’s comment could be slightly in his face, it made sense of the first real shootout of his character with the cylones. Main theme Battlestar Galactica It is that our heroes are on their backs for most of the time and have to learn new skills while running to avoid their tireless pursuers. Cally may not look exactly like a crack, but on the basis of how it adapts to some of the dramas that will last later on the show (including her husband, who proved to be a secret cylone!), It is absolutely reasonable to think that there is a quick study with firearms.
We really loved hearing about how nicki Clyne was a little too Good in the shooting of the cylons, but there is only one problem: now we are confiscated with the urge to look again Battlestar Galactica Restart what you have to be millionth. Of course, an alternative is to check some of the slope that they pass on to modern science fiction television on different streaming The service. And we would rather shoot us Cally as just another cylone than we are content with the slope.
