Huskies Hassan Diarra guard Neal Emparada in the chest and seemed to square with the fists during a fraction of a second, since the two were face to face.
Creighton’s center, Ryan Kalkbrenner, separated them by pushing Neal while the whistles blew and the players ran out of the banks in the Madison Square Garden.
The order was restored quite fast, but the emotions were still tense after the game.
“I mean, they were already awake with remaining seven seconds,” said Diarra. “I didn’t want to drive the ball. He entered an elegant dump. I felt he was disrespectful for the basketball game.”

Neal admitted that “he was caught in the emotions of the game” and apologized.
The Hurley coach and the Bluejays, Greg Mcdermott, were already approaching along the lateral line to shake hands when Neal took off for his overturning. McDermott seemed to apologize to Hurley immediately after, and again when the game ended.
Creighton and Uconn have already had their flesh this year. Hurley made fun of Creighton’s fans last month after the Huskies brought home a victory on the road, they said goodbye to the crowd and shouted: “Two rings!”
Last year, Hurley also threatened “Knock out” a Creighton fan.
