Billionaire Ray Dalio says that we are living in a rapid change, as geopolitical tensions increase, economic systems change and technology develops faster than ever.
While people fight what he called “World order“, Dalio says it is important to concentrate on what really matters.
“I think the question is, above all … how are we going to be with each other,” said the founder of Bridgewater’s associates. “Because, innovative technologies: they can be used for wars, they will create a great displacement of people.”
Dalio added how humans face each other will be “particularly important” in the next five to 10 years.
Whatever the success I have had in life, it has been more due to my meditation than anything else.

“I think the best advice I could give to anyone, it would be to meditate, and that is because it gives you calm and equanimity. It gives you a feeling of spirituality, which means … (a) Connectedness with the universe, connected to people,” he said.
“Any success that I had in life has been more due to my meditation than anything else.”
Dalio identified five main forces that are changing world order: government debt, Populism, conflict, climate and technology.
Regarding the debt, Dalio said: “There is a great cycle of growing debt in relation to income … that will lead to a great change in the monetary order we now face,” he said.
Dalio Ha warned About the United States assembly debt – now standing With more than $ 36.2 billion. He says that this problem is of “primary importance”, and the American deficit must go from 7.2% of gross domestic product projected to approximately 3% of GDP.
Dalio also approached an increase in populism in the West.
“There is the left and the right … it reaches the point where there are irreconcilable differences on money and values,” Dalio Eisen de CNBC told Wednesday in Wednesday in Converge in vivo In Singapore.
The third force is a changing geopolitical order, he said, that he answers questions such as: “What are the rules of the world? How do countries interact? And who determines that?”
“It is determined by the winners of the last war. They establish the rules … but there is a change in the world order since the growing powers challenge existing decreasing powers. And then we are seeing that change in the world order, of one that was unilaterally, really controlled to a large extent by the United States, to something that is very different,” he said.
The fourth force is the climate and acts of nature, which throughout history has had a greater impact and killed more people than wars, Dalio said. Finally, fifth force is the new technology, or as Dalio describes the “inventiveness of man”, which we are seeing today with the increase in AI and other emerging technologies.
“Now we are in that transition to new orders of all those,” he said.
