Ryan García says Terence Crawford “You can’t defeat” The super medium -sized unified champion Canelo Álvarez in his September fight. Garcia points out that Crawford (41-0, 31 kos) “did not look strong” by moving up to 154 against Israil Madrimov last August in Los Angeles.
Madrimov, 5’8 1/2 ″, is not so great and not the beating that Canelo is in 168. Crawford looked at his age in that fight, like a 40 -year -old fighter whose power was not carried out from the 147 -pound division. Madrimov was illuminating the whole fight, eating right hands and not showing power with his shots.
Crawford seemed like your typical and every day of 40 years against Madrimov and was lucky to win. With a different set of judges focused on harder and cleaner landing shots, they would have given the victory to Madrimov. His blows were much more effective in each round.
The way Crawford looked in that fight, would lose before Madrimov in a rematch and would be destroyed by the other 154 pounds, such as Bakhram Murtazaliev, Serhii Bohachuk and Vergil Ortiz Jr.
If it weren’t for Riad’s season, Canelo-Crawford would not be happening because Álvarez was not going to please Crawford to give him this fight without him winning when he was being against the murderers, David Benavidez, David Morrell and Osleys Iglesias.
If Crawford wants the day of the gold parachute retirement against Canelo, let it go through those three, and if something left later, let him fight against the Mexican superstar.
Crawford would never have done that because the results would have been negative for him. He would go 0-3 against those guys and would probably be knocked out by each of them. A small and weak 40 years against those combatants would be a mismatch.
“You can’t defeat Canelo, in any way,” Ryan García told Akin Reyes & Barak Bess YouTube Canal on Terence Crawford did not defeat Canelo Álvarez when they fight in September. “I don’t see it beating Canelo. He didn’t even look so strong against (Israil) Madrimov (on August 3 last year), to be honest, and Madrimov is not even so great.”
“They have two different styles,” Akin said, arriving at Crawford’s defense of why he looked so poor against Madrimov, coming out the whole fight and barely hitting him.
“In a counterprojector,” Bess said about Madrimov’s struggle style that Agust Crawford effectively used.
“What happens with Canelo is that he has dominated his style, and he will not change it,” said Ryan. “He has dominated it. He understands what is happening in the ring at all times. I just don’t see Terence hit him. I don’t.”
It is a pity that Riyad’s season is not causing Crawford to jump through a couple of hoops to obtain Canelo’s fight because he would make it more interesting for casual fans who do not know who he is or does not like his fighting style. At least, Crawford should have to go through David Benavidez or David Morrell to obtain Canelo’s fight. Only one of those two, and you have the fight. If you lose, oh well.
