The beloved group K-POP Girl Group Newjeans will enter the reflector in the middle of a legal drama with their recording company Ador.
During a concert in Hong Kong on Sunday, March 23, a five -member group announced that it would decide in the South Korean court to enforce a court order to prevent them independently.
“It’s really hard for us to say that, but that could be our last show for a while,” Member member Hanni (Full name Pham ngoc han) said on stage, per Concert shots on social media. “We have decided to suspend all our activities for the time being to decide the court and it was not an easy decision. It was not an easy decision, but we believe it is something we have to do at the moment.”
Newjeans consists of Hanni members, Haerin (Kang Hae-Rin), Mini(Kim min-ji), Danielle (Danielle Marsh) and Hyein (Lee Hye-in). The group debuted under Ador-Decerer by the entertainment company Hybe-V 2022 and became the fastest act of K-POP, which in 2023 hit 1 billion spotify streams, per Billboard.
Their composition 2023 “Super Shy” reached the peak on No. 48 on Billboard Hot 100, while 2022 “Ditto” reached the peak on No. 8 on the global list 200 billboard.
Drama of the band’s recording company began in September 2024 after they asked for the former CEO of Ador Min heijin Be renewed since it is on YouTube Livestream. “Everything we want is for this legal conflict to be resolved and let our work environment go back to normal as it was before,” Hanni said in the video per per per Teen Vogue.
Newjeans announced that they were leaving Adora two months later.

“As soon as we leave Ador, we strive to proceed freely with the activities we really wish for,” Danielle, 19, told journalists at that time. “We really want us to be able to release new music for bunnies next year (our fans) as soon as possible. We really hope we have the opportunity to meet you from all over the world.”
In addition to the accusation of Ador of “poor treatment” and “manipulation” Hanni also claimed that she had suffered under the label by harassing in the workplace. “It is not a type of work ethics we respect, and not the one we want to be part of, and continue to work in society without the intention of protecting Newjans would only hurt us,” she said, for BBC.

Two days before the Hiatus announcement, the South Korean Court blocked the group members to change the group’s name and continue their non -maternial performance because it would “seriously harm” the reputation of Adora as a result CNN.
Ador questioned the accusation of artists and supported the group’s decision to perform on Sunday if they did so under the name of Newjeans.
“We are fully determined to support artists in the future with our state of the exclusive Newjeans agency, which is now legally confirmed,” Ador said in his statement on Friday, March 21st. “This weekend we will be fully present at Complexcon to ensure that the performance is submitted under the name Newjeans.
