Sale City’s Jordyn Taylor Thinks Ex Trevor Noah Stole Her Jokes

Sale of the city‘with Jordyn Taylor Braff not just dated Trevor Noah in the past, but she thinks he stole some of her jokes.

During the first season of the Netflix serieswhich premiered on Friday, January 3, 34-year-old Jordyn opened up to Abigail Godfrey about her dating history.

“Love brought me here. It ended up like many, many years ago,” Jordyn recalled. “He and I met on Twitter, which is so random. It is not (a thing). It should never be a thing. But I was here for a visit and we met.”

Jordyn remembered being “so nervous” about the meeting former Daily show presenter, adding: “He’s a celebrity, but he was a nobody at the time. No one knew who he was. But I was so nervous that I rushed down the street for some reason. And he said, ‘This girl is weird’.”

Despite Noah’s success as a comedian, Jordyn said yes was “the funnier one” in their relationship.

“Trevor kept borrowing me for material,” she claimed. “I think I’ve been the butt of jokes from time to time. But he would also steal my material—100 percent.”

40-year-old Noah also helped Jordyn in your real estate career. “Eventually he bought an apartment and it was my first ultra-luxury deal. I think it was a $10 million deal,” she noted. “It’s the only time you’ll hear that I slept with a client.

Jordyn concluded: “But it catapulted me around renting and lower sales and got me into luxury, which was amazing. Love kept me here, but not love for him. It was love for the city.”

Sale of the city comes from the creator Adam DiVello who is also behind the hit reality show series Sunset for sale. In addition to Jordyn and Abigail, a new show follows Eleonora Srugová‘s real estate group at Douglas Elliman, which consists of Taylor Middleton, Gisselle Meneses Nunez, Jade Chan and Justin Tuinstra. Former Million Dollar List New York’with Steve Goldwho currently works for The Corcoran Group, also makes appearances throughout the season.

Meanwhile, Noah rose to fame when he became the chief international correspondent for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. He replaced Stewart, 62, as host and stayed on the show for seven years before leaving to pursue other opportunities.

During his time in the public eye, Noah dated Dani Gabriel from 2014 to 2015 and Jordyn for four years before their split in 2018. He then found love with the actress Minka Kellywith whom he was linked for two years before their split in 2021.

Noah recently admitted as much “it doesn’t bother him at all” i am 40 and single.

“Society sees me as a loser whether I like it or not. Being married is like serving,” he said in a May 2024 episode of his “What Now?” podcast. “There is a certain honor involved. If you’ve never been married, there’s a strange thing people do to you when they treat you like you’re not serious about life.’

Speaking about the “ostracism” that comes with not being in a committed romantic relationship, Noah added: “So many things in society are based on plus-ones. I’m like, ‘That idiot got married six months ago. They don’t even know the person and you’re going to tell me I can’t come with my best friend who I can tell you every intimate detail about?'”

Later in the episode, Noah pushed for more appreciation of platonic connections.

“There is something romantic about the idea that we should diversify our portfolio of emotions,” he continued. “Sometimes they bring benefits and sometimes they add value to my property. … One of the great discoveries of my life (was the realization) that I didn’t need to be good at all aspects of making friends. All I had to do was find someone who wanted to be my friend who was really good at that element.”
