Joshua Hall Considers 2024 ‘Tough’ Movie Amid Christina Hall’s Divorce

Joshua Hall is ready to put his problems behind him in 2024 and start the new year on a new note.

“2024 was tough but taught me a lot,” Hall, 44, wrote on Wednesday. Instagram post marking the new year. “It helped me grow and be stronger than I’ve ever been. Sometimes difficult situations can change you. In the end, you become a different person. A better version of myself. You will learn things about yourself that you didn’t know before. It opened my eyes to many things. Even though it was hard, I know it taught me a lot and I’m grateful for that. I always think that God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers.”

In July 2024, there were reports that Joshua and wife Christina Hall (née Haack) he called it quits after more than two years of marriage. The two filed divorce papers on July 15, with Joshua listing a July 8 separation date and Christina, 41, listing a July 7 divorce date.

Although Joshua did not address the breakup in his post, he noted that 2024 “wasn’t so bad” thanks to those close to him. “I realized who is really there for you. These people will become your pillars in life. He’s standing by you,” he explained. “They understand when you need space. They got you even if you don’t have them right now. I will forever be grateful for my community that continues to love me, support me and the special ones that have come into my life.”

He ended his Instagram update by greeting “2025, a new year, a new beginning and a chance to write a new book with new beginnings,” adding, “This is going to be my best year yet… 🙏🏼.”

Joshua started dating Christina shortly after her 2021 divorce from Ant Anstead. The two tied the knot in 2022 and went on to star in several HGTV shows together, including Christina on the coast and Christina in the countryside. The duo were to compete together against Christina’s ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae El Moussain the new series Flip Off function before dividing them. Joshua shared his New Year’s post one day before HGTV dropped tense sneak peek he and Christina on Flip Off function. “This is a competition, you have to go all out. Whatever it takes to win, I will do it. Hall’s rule,” he told Christina during the car ride.

After she didn’t answer, he said, “You’re supposed to say it with me or repeat it or show that you’re with me. Remember you are Hall now. Don’t let what your last name is fool you in this contest. You are rude.”
