“Justice for Justin!!! All of our communications are privileged by the attorney-client relationship, a protection only the client can appeal,” Schlossberg, 31, wrote Instagram on Sunday, January 5 “I AM BOUND AND CONCLUDED by Mr. Baldoni until he releases me.”
Next to its headline was a screenshot of a news article covering Baldoni’s real-life lawyer’s response regarding Schlossberg’s online trolling.
Earlier this week, the writer and grandson of the former president John F. Kennedy he claimed took Baldoni40, as a client.
“I have agreed to take on JUSTIN BALDONI as a client. Why? FAIRNESS,” he wrote via X on Thursday, January 2nd. “EVERYONE is entitled to a FAIR TRIAL and a STRICT DEFENSE. Justin is my client, I am his lawyer. even the most heinous individuals have the right to legal counsel for their defense. I’m not a hero. I’m just doing my job.”
While Schlossberg was — and still is — joking, fans and some members of the media believed his original claim, with some sources even publishing stories claiming that Vogue’s political correspondent was Baldoni’s real lawyer.

He is currently Baldoni sue The New York Times for $250 million, accusing the publication of defamation and false light of invasion of privacy for reporting on Lively, 37, and her allegations of sexual harassment against the director.
In an interview with NBC News on Thursday, Freedman shared that he has too plans to sue Lively on behalf of Baldoni. “We plan to release every single text message between the two of them,” Freedman said at the time. “We want the truth out there.” We want the documents to be there. Baldoni filed suit against Times on December 31, 2024. That same day, Lively filed her own lawsuit against Baldoni, his publicists Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abeland Baldoni’s Wayfarer production company for sexual harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy and lost wages.
“I hope my legal action will help pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics that harm people who speak up about misconduct and help protect others who may be targeted,” Lively said in a statement to Us Weekly on the 21st. filed a complaint with the California Department of Civil Rights regarding similar allegations.
