Daniel Dubois wants to “put an end” to the victories that Oleksandr Usyk has been achieving against British fighters, winning one after another and making things look easy. Usyk is 7-0 against the British and looks unbeatable at the moment.
It’s probably not a good idea for Dubois to mess with Usyk because he already lost to him once via ninth-round knockout on August 26, 2023. Losing a rematch would destroy the momentum he’s gained since that ordeal.
It would be wiser for Dubois to focus on trying to get a rematch with Anthony Joshua because it is winnable and would pay a lot of money.
IBF heavyweight champion Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) believes he is the one who can end former two-division undisputed champion Usyk’s streak of “luck.”
Usyk’s victories against the British
– Tyson Fury x 2
– Antonio Joshua x 2
-Daniel Dubois
–Derek Chisora
– Tony Bellew
I don’t know why Dubois is so bothered that Usyk is beating his compatriots because they would lose to other fighters if they were willing to face them. If you put Joshua or Fury with Martin Bakole, they would take a beating equal to or worse than what Usyk took.
“It was time; Someone has to put an end to it. When that time comes, I will be ready,” Daniel Dubois told CajaNación about Oleksandr Usyk beating all the great British heavyweights. He was lucky last time.
“That was not a low blow. You never saw him grabbing his balls off the ground. He was lucky last time. Next time you won’t be lucky. I’ll be ready for him. I’m too much for him. I’m challenging him. I want to be undisputed and get all the belts. I have to surpass Parker, but I want to be undisputed.
“It was a close fight. The last couple of rounds, he outplayed him,” Dubois said of Usyk’s victory over Tyson Fury in their Dec. 21 rematch. “It will be a great fight between any of them and me, Fury or Usyk. That’s my way of thinking right now.
“I’ve been a contender for a long time. I’m a champion and I want to move like a champion and take no prisoners. I want to go through Usyk like a train,” Dubois said.
The Way Oleksandr Mastered ‘The Gypsy King’; Tyson Fury last month in their rematch made it clear that he owns UK fighters and will continue to beat them until he gets old. Fury, 36, looked old in the rematch with Usyk, and it’s no surprise he was defeated. The first fight took something away from him, leaving the worn-out and worn-out fighter Usyk met last month.
