Randy Moss confirmed that he had been diagnosed with cancer after his son had previously denied the reports.
“You all know I’ve told you over the last couple of weeks that I’ve been struggling with something internally,” Moss, 47, said on Friday the 13th. Instagram Live video. “And you survived cancer.
Moss confided that he had a stent inserted into his liver on Thanksgiving Day last month because waste was pouring into his urine.
“I had cancer, they found it in the bile duct right between the pancreas and the liver,” he explained. “The cancer was sitting right next to the bile duct.
Moss underwent a “six-hour operation” that included a Whipple procedure – surgery to remove the head of the pancreas, part of the small intestine, the gallbladder and the bile duct. Mayo Clinic. The ESPN commentator who is currently on a holidays in the midst of his health problem, he plans to continue chemotherapy and radiation, but so far he feels “fine.” Moss explained that he would not be answering any follow-up questions about his condition, but wanted to take to social media so his fans could see him as he recovered. Moss said he is hoping for a speedy recovery in hopes of returning to work soon.
“As soon as I’m well enough to be back with the boys, I’ll be on set. … I hope to be with you soon,” Moss said. “My goal is to get back on TV with my team.”
Moss also expressed his gratitude for the well wishes sent to him when he previously revealed that he is struggling with an undisclosed health scare.
“All the prayers, well wishes, I really felt it, my family felt it,” he said.
In addition to spreading cancer awareness and encouraging everyone to complete their annual screenings, Moss is also raising money for cancer research through his new Team Moss merchandise.
The news of Moss’s cancer diagnosis comes a few days after his son Tadeás he vehemently denied the rumours that his dad was battling cancer. It all started when the former NFL star Larry Fitzgeraldfather, Larry Fitzgerald Sr., posted via X on Tuesday, December 10 that Moss “has liver cancer” and sent him well wishes.
“Let’s show the power of prayer and pull Moss through this 🙏🙏🙏,” Larry Sr. wrote. “I love you Randy.
Thaddeus fired back in a since-deleted post, writing: “This is disgusting. You have no right to try to make private matters public because of an engagement. I don’t believe my father is talking to you, so check your sources.”
